 Cancellation & Refund Policy

Home Comforts Hiking - Refund and Cancellation Policy

 

All bookings require a deposit of $AU500 to confirm the booking.

Final payments are due 1 month prior to the start date

Cancellation by the customer

  • More than 6 months from the start date: 70% refund of deposit paid.

  • 1 to 6 months prior to the start date: deposit is forfeited

  • Less than 1 month prior to the start date: all payments forfeited. We recommend you have travel insurance before making your final payment.

 

If you arrange a substitute hiker to take your place, we will refund 90% of payments made.

 

Cancellation by Home Comforts Hiking

Full refund of all amounts paid. Scheduled tours need a minimum number to proceed. If the minimum number is not reached 3 months prior to the start date, we may cancel the tour. Do not book flights for scheduled fully guided tours until the tour is confirmed.

 

Cancellation due to environmental calamity, conflict or pandemic

We recommend you have travel insurance before making your final payment. In the event of having to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, refunds will be limited to the amount of refunds we can secure from accommodation and service providers. This could also be quite a long process.
